The Cardiff Waterways Map project looked at Cardiff’s changing water-scape, past, present and future. The project comprised of a period of research, commissions of new art work by artists, a waterways publication and tour of the waterways by the writer Peter Finch, museum visits, talks and the development of a website, acting as a permanent repository of waterways information gathered during this year long project.  You can access the BETA website here:

Art Shell received Heritage Lottery funding to carry out the project and worked closely with The Cardiff Story Museum, Cardiff Transitions, The Boat Studio and architecture students from Cardiff University.
